Show HN: CocktailCMS – in-browser database with no login or servers required During the lockdown in 2020, my girlfriend, an enthusiastic mixologist, needed a tool to organize her cocktail recipes and visualize the data. Traditional spreadsheets weren't cutting it due to the deeply nested data, and this struggle led me to create 'CocktailCMS'. Drawing inspiration from old-school databases like DBase, FoxPro, and MS Access, CocktailCMS is a browser-based database with features such as linking datasets and sub-tables. It's designed for local data storage in JSON format, but there's an option to sync with Google Drive for backup. Data can be exported in CSV and easily copy-pasted into visualizers. To give you an idea of what it can do, I've included two example datasets: a Game of Thrones one and another one on Mixology. The project is currently built in JS + Vue2. Show HN: Sshield, a secure(r) SSH agent written in Rust sshield is a drop-in SSH agent replacement written in Rust which stores keys in an encrypted SQLite database instead of in ~/.ssh. I opted to use russh, which is a Rust implementation of the SSH protocol and ssh-agent for greater memory safety. It allows importing settings and keys from OpenSSH as well as creating, updating, showing and deleting keys. Whenever a program requests using the key for signing, a prompt is displayed to the user for confirmation. This way: 1. Your keys don't get leaked (unless the server process' memory is dumped, but that requires root on *nix systems) 2. Your keys don't get misused and inadvertedly sign something malicious. There's been a lot of discussion on the shortcomings of langchain in the past few weeks, but when I first tried it in March, I thought there are 3 main problems: 1. Too many abstractions 2. Hidden prompts and opinionated logic in chains which makes it hard to customize 3. Supports calculating CIDR unions, differences, and complements. The rest of the existing set operations don't really make sense for CIDRs since the only way they can overlap is if one fully contains the other (or they are equivalent).
